DivX Play Bundle (incl. DivX Player) - This bundle includes the DivX Player and DivX 6.2 codec. Both are free and no adware is included in the package. The DivX Player plays all .AVI and .divx files that contain DivX video and MP3 audio (including DivX 3, 4, 5 and 6 video formats), and enables access to rented and purchased DivX movies. The DivX codec extends DivX playback support to all popular media players. This package supports English, French, German and Japanese languages.
DivX Player is optimized to play every DivX file with full support for all the advanced features of DivX including scene selection menus, chapters, subtitles, video tags and alternate audio tracks. The latest version of the DivX Player adds a download manager that allows you to download multiple videos, pause and resume downloads, and progressively play back video, a media manager, and a new burn-to-disc feature for creating DivX discs from within the player.

 You the man !
My brother has a Mac , I have a PC ....I could never play the stuff he sent me. I downloaded 3 other AVI players ...and they did not work. I finally download DivX and every file plays perfect ..great job !

Greatest software ever.
The Divx player bundle if one of the besr software that I have use and I would recommend that you get a copy to.

Good bit of software
DivX is a very good bit of software. My main reason for using it is to compress Mpeg videos into smaller compressed avi files. DivX does this very well giving you the option of three compression levels. One small note to make is it can take quite a bit of time to compress a large mpeg video of say two gigs, depending on your system of course. Best thing to do is to set it to compress last thing at night, get up in the morning and it's done!
I don't use the movie player much, but I have viewed it once or twice and it's as good as any other. I've tried a copy for my Mac OS9 with no joy, but it works pretty well on Windows.
The compresser is very is to use. Just right click on your mpeg video and the option to compress is there.
If I remember rightly, as I bought this software sometime ago, it was quite a reasonable price too. The avi's and divx's work on some stand alone dvd players too, meaning you can get quite a few (between ten and fifteen) hours on a dvd+ or dvd-.
Good bit of software for travelling, or if you're a fanatical archiver like me.
